"We cannot always control what goes on outside, but we can control what goes on inside"

If 2020 taught me anything, it’s that we cannot always control what happens. No one could of predicted that we would be in a global pandemic, nor could they have predicted how long for.

We can control how we look at this and how we react.

And it comes as no surprise that

Rather than looking at 2020 as a crisis, a shit storm that kept us away from friends and family, held us hostage in our own homes and very likely took away our sanity.

Instead, it has been a lesson in many ways.

It’s taught us to slow down, in a way which would never have been possible in the fast pace society of today, and instead made us stop before illness took over.

It’s made us realize what is important in life, not the newest pair of trainers on the market, or the best nail design this season, but human connection.

It’s taught us that we over spend on things we don’t need to, whether it be food, drink or gadgets.

And for those of us that used the time wisely, we learnt more about ourselves which has been a real eye opener. We start to re-evaluate our lives, our jobs, our passions and start focusing on who we are and what we want out of life.

The mind is an amazing tool and if used correctly can work wonders in creating a life of peace, calm & happiness.

Namaste 🙏
